
Week 10 of the College baseball season came to a close but featured a couple of standout performances from our alumni. Excited to see this upcoming week as there are some big time matchups throughout college baseball.
Pitcher of the Week:
Michael Carpenter: Madison College
The Southpaw has been dominating competition all year and he continued that trend again this past week with another complete game shutout win for the Wolfpack. Carpenter threw 7 innings, allowing 2 hits, 0 runs striking out 13 while not allowing a walk.
Offensive Player of the Week:
Carson Hansen: University Wisconsin Milwaukee
The Panther sophomore torched pitching again last week as he continued to amass extra base hits this season. Carson was 8 for 16 on the week scoring 2 runs and driving in 11. Of his 8 hits on the week 5 of them went for extra bases. Carson was also named Horizon League Hitter of the Week.
Freshman of the Week:
Brayden Pleau: Bryant & Stratton
The Bobcat Freshman put together a solid week and continues a strong rookie year. His line for the week: 9 for 18, 2 runs scored and 7 runs batted in.
Honorable Mention:
Pitcher: Donovan Schultz: University of Evansville
7ip, 7 hits, 1 run allowed, 4 K’s. Earned the win over Bradley.
Offensive: Drew Lechnir: University Of Nebraska Omaha
7 for 13, 3 runs, 8 Rbi, 1 double, 1 HR.
Freshman: Connor Olson: UW Stevens Point
6 for 15, 3 runs, 4 Rbi. 3 doubles
