
Week 13 of the baseball season was the beginning of post-season play for many of our guys and there were some top performers this week with the added pressure of playoff baseball. Most exciting time of college baseball has begun and we’re excited to follow it at all levels for the remainder of the year.
Pitcher of the Week:
Michael Carpenter: Madison College
Carpenter continued his dominance on the mound this season with a big outing in a Regional matchup. The southpaw went 8 innings allowing 7 hits surrendering 1 run with 10 punchouts.
Offensive Player of the Week:
Brady Davidson: Heartland CC
Davidson had a productive week for Heartland during the opening weekend of playoffs. Brady went 7 for 17 scoring 5 times while driving in a stellar 10 runs. He added 2 doubles and 2 HR’s on the week.
Freshman of the Week:
Connor Olson: UW Stevens Point
Olson continued his late season hot streak for the Pointers during the conference tourney. Connor went 6 for 12 on the week, scoring 3 times and driving in another 3. 5 of 6 hits on the week went for extra bases with 3 doubles and 2 HR’s.
Honorable Mention:
Pitcher: Carson Fluno: Louisiana Lafayette
6 ip. 3 hits. 1 earned run. 5 strikeouts 0 walks. Earned the win.
Offensive: Payton Frehner: Madison College

Freshman: Nolan Tomsyck: Beloit College
5 for 11. 4 runs scored. 1 Rbi. 2 doubles
