
Week 3 of the college baseball season saw several of our former players have good, outstanding and monster weeks. With all levels of college baseball now ramping up their seasons we were witness to a couple of special performances. Congrats to all of our guys as they continue to have successful seasons and those who are yet to start their seasons we can’t wait to follow.
Pitcher of the Week: Thomas Harper – Illinois State
The Redbirds Right Hander had 2 solid performances last week working 7 innings in relief scattering 5 hits and only allowing 1 run. Harper struck out 4 while walking 2 batters. The righty earned the win in his relief stint vs. Ball State.
Hitter of the Week: Thomas Ward – Carroll University
Ward a senior, could not have started off his year any hotter as the Pio upperclassmen went a whopping 9 for 22 with 6 runs scored, drove in 24 (yes 24 rbi) including three doubles and 4 homeruns.
