GRB STiKS invites you to its offseason throwing program. Join former Oregon State and Los Angeles Angels MiLB pitcher Nathan Burns in this year’s Offseason Velo/Throwing Program. This proven program offers personalized throwing plans for a variety of age levels for both pitchers and position players. The main goals for the off-season throwing program include: Increasing velocity and command through strengthening and proper mechanical adjustments, gaining awareness for how the body is supposed to move in the throwing motion, as well as developing habits/routines for keeping the arm fresh and healthy throughout the course of a long baseball season. Progress will be monitored throughout the program so you can see the results from start to finish. The class will follow a one hour structure, starting with station work consisting of Jaeger band and plyo ball exercises, as well as med ball and tidal tank exercises. After stations, athletes will go through a structured throwing/long-toss build up. Each day and week, the long toss structure will change in distance and effort to push the players to their highest potential leading up to the spring season. The long toss will be followed by a post throw Jaeger band and dumbbell series for strengthening arm stamina and conditioning.
