Week 6 comes to a close and there were several players with memorable weeks.  We had the opportunity to highlight several of those performances.  

Pitcher of the Week:

Michael Carpenter:  Madison College 

The East Carolina commit and current Madison College Sophomore had a stellar week over his 2 appearances on the mound.  The southpaw threw 9.2 innings last week giving up 5 hits, allowing 1 run on the week while striking out 15 and not allowing a walk.  

Offensive Player of the Week:

Drew Lechnir:  University of Nebraska – Omaha 

The UNO senior had a solid week at the plate going 7 for 14 while scoring 3 runs, adding an RBI and hitting his 1st home-run on the year.   Drew is currently hitting .316 on the year.  

Freshman of the Week:   

Brady Davidson:  Heartland Community College 

Not many have been as hot with the bat than Freshman Brady Davidson who torched pitching last  week going 12 for 26, scoring 6 runs while driving in 10.  Davidson is now batting .405 on the season.

Honorable Mention:

Pitcher: Ty Sagedal – UW Eau Claire

5ip, 3 hits, 0 runs, 9 K’s, 0 BB

Offensive:  Gabe Richardson –  University Minnesota Duluth

7 hits, 14 ab’s, 2 runs, 4 rbi and 1 HR

Freshman:  Connor Olson – UW Stevens Point

7 hits, 24 ab’s, 6 runs, 6 rbi, 3 doubles
