
Week 8 of the college baseball season came to a close and there were some strong individual performances. Many teams throughout the Midwest were limited due to rain drops and snow flakes. Hoping that Spring has finally sprung throughout the Midwest.
Pitcher of the Week:
Donovan Schultz: University of Evansville
The senior Left hander had a solid start versus Belmont University earning the Win on the mound. Donovan went 7 innings allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, walking 2 while striking out 6.
Offensive Player of the Week:
Owen Washburn: Texas Tech
Washburn got hot this week and put together a productive week going 6 for 16 including 4 runs scored and driving in 4. Owen had 2 doubles, a triple and a home run to cap off his productive week.
Freshman of the Week:
Dominic Kibler: Kent State
The young Golden Flash put together a nice week going 3 for 12, 4 runs scored, 4 runs batted in while collecting his 4th home run of the season.
Honorable Mention:
Pitcher: Liam Stumpf: Madison College
6.1 ip, 3 hits allowed, 1 run, 1 strikeout, and 1 walk.
Offensive: Dylan Nevar: Western Michigan
5 for 13, 6 runs scored, 3 rbi, 1 HR and 2 walks.
