For week 11 of the Collegiate Baseball season (April 22-28) it was a memorable one for a couple of alumni earning Conference recognition as Pitcher of the Week and Hitter of the Week.  Congrats to all of our past players on a productive week of college baseball.  

 

Pitcher of the Week: 

Bryce Konitzer:  Valparaiso 

The Beacon senior Right Handed pitcher was dominant last week in his 2 appearances.  Konitzer had a stellar week going 10 innings allowing 3 hits while striking out 12 and giving up just 2 walks.  For his efforts last week Bryce was named Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the week.  

    

 

Offensive Player of the Week:

Carson Hansen:  University Wisconsin Milwaukee

Carson had another monster week for the Panthers.  Hansen went 7 for 17 with 3 runs scored and  9 runs batted in.  Of the 7 hits on the week 3 went for doubles (leads the conference) and hit 2 Grand Slams.   Hansen has been named back to back weeks as the Horizon League Hitter of the Week.  

 

 

Freshman of the Week:   

Connor Olson:  UW Stevens Point  

The Pointer Freshman had a solid week going 6 for 21, scoring 5 times, driving in 10 while collecting 4 extra base hits including 2 home runs on the week.  

 

Honorable Mention:

Pitcher: Michael Carpenter:  Madison College 

7 innings pitched.  6 hits allowed.  0 runs allowed.  6 strikeouts.  Earned the Win.   

 

Offensive:  Brady Renfro:  Valparaiso

8 for 15 at the plate.  6 runs scored.  8 runs batted in.  1 Home run.  

 

Freshman:  Noah Dreier

7 for 20 at the plate.  6 runs scored.  7 runs batted in.  3 doubles and 2 home runs.
