Week 7 was highlighted by some monstrous games making it a tough week to select our players of the week.  We had school records broken and a couple of players named as conference players of the week making Week 7 the best of the young season.  Looking forward again to following our guys in week 8.

Pitcher of the Week: Gradin Taschner –  Bryant & Stratton 

Gradin had a special outing this past week as he broke the school record for strikeouts in a game by punching out 15 in his outing.  He finished his day by throwing 7 innings, allowing 1 hit, giving up 1 run combined with the 15 strikeouts.  

Hitter of the Week:  Brady Davidson – Heartland CC  

Davidson heated up this week as the sophomore put up some crazy numbers.  Brady went 13 for 20, scored 5 times, drove in 9.  He added 4 doubles and 2 home runs to his tally.

Ethan Brown:  Dartmouth:  5 for 10, 3 runs, 4 rbi, 2 – 2b’s, 2HR’s  (Ivy League POTW)  

Ryan Drumm:  Butler University:  9 for 22, 11 runs, 7 rbi, 1- 3b, 2HR’s (Big East Honor Roll) 

Seth Brankey:  Beloit College:  9 for 18, 8 runs, 5 rbi, 1-2B, 1HR

Liam Stumpf:  Central Michigan:  4.1 IP, 2 hits, 0 runs

Rory Fox:  Notre Dame:  6 ip, 1 hit, 2 earned runs, 5 K’s.

Cooper Kamlay:  UW Oshkosh:  3.1 ip, 1 hit, 1 run, 2K’s.
