Week 8 of the college baseball season has concluded and again we take a few minutes to highlight and congratulate several of our alumni as they continue to contribute to their college teams while making all of us proud back at GRB STiKS.  This past week was one of the more productive weeks of the season for former players as we saw our guys collectively have over 100 hits for the week.  Congrats to all of our former players as they continue to have productive seasons.

Pitcher of the Week: Thomas Harper – Illinois State

Harper continued his fantastic season on Friday night during his start against Valparaiso.  The junior Redbird worked 6 innings, allowing 1 hit, surrendered no runs while striking out 4 during his outing.   

Hitter of the Week:  Brayden Pleau – Bryant Stratton   

Brayden had an extremely productive week for the Bobcats as the sophomore went 12 for 24 scoring 7 runs, 3rbi with 3 doubles.  Over the past 2 years Pleau has been the epitome of consistency.

Ethan Brown:  Dartmouth:  6 for 18, 3 runs, 5 rbi, 1 – 2B

Adam Switalski:  Lipscomb University:  4.1 ip, 3 hits, 1 run, 2K’s

Steve Marhefke:  Upper Iowa:  6ip., 7 hits, 2 runs, 4K’s

Noah Dreier:  St Xavier:  5.1ip, 4 hits, 0 runs, 3K’s
